SUMMARY:14th EASE Conference\, Bucharest 2018
DESCRIPTION:The 14th EASE Conference will be held in Bucharest\, Romania\, 8th-10th June\, 2018\, in partnership with the University of Bucharest. \nRegister now! \nThe theme for the event will be ‘Balancing Innovation and Tradition in Science Editing‘. \nThe venue for the event is the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest. See the Location page for full details. \nFor the first official EASE event in Romania\, we have chosen a theme that is particularly relevant to editors in Eastern Europe and the Balkans\, but also to editors anywhere working independently or in small offices\, whether on major international journals\, niche local ones or anything in between. We want to appeal to editors from other countries and those working directly for publishers\, as well as freelancers and authors’ editors\, so there will be plenty for everyone. \nSocial Events\nOpening ceremony and welcome reception\nConference dinner at Pescarus\, Bucharest \nOptional courses\nPractical workshop courses\, charged separately\, will be offered before or after the main conference on subjects such as “How to be a successful journal editor”\, “Statistics for\neditors”\, “Plagiarism” and “How to get published in high impact medical journals” (for local authors). \nSee details for all the courses on the Optional Workshops page. \n\nPoster Presentations\nAbstracts for posters may be submitted until 1st April. Interested parties should please submit a title and 200-word abstract by this deadline. \nPosters may address any aspects of science editing and publishing\, as well as topics on the theme of the conference. Please see the Conference Programme for the list of sessions. \nAll submissions should be sent by email to either the EASE Secretariat Tea Marasovic\, or to the Conference Chair\, Joan Marsh. \nExhibitor and Sponsor Information\nEASE welcomes all organizations interested in exhibiting at the conference or in sponsoring any aspect of the events. Please see our Exhibitors page for more information on how to get involved. \nEnquiries should be directed to our Sponsorship and Exhibitions Manager Horatio Beceriu \nKeep an eye on our website\, Twitter\, Facebook\, and LinkedIn pages for more information.
