Job title



Adam is a consultant scientific editor who specialises in the life sciences. Adam has particular expertise in helping scientists who are not native English speakers and to date has edited more than one hundred articles for scientists from more than 30 different countries around the world. He has also copy-edited and/or ghost-written more than 50 school textbooks for a national publishing house.

Adam previously worked as a professional scientist in environmental science and public health, before spending 12 years as a high-school biology teacher. His first degree was in microbiology and virology, and he holds master’s degrees in both environmental science and education. He has co-authored a number of peer-reviewed articles and written numerous internal reports for relevant stakeholders.

His specialist fields for editing include but are not limited to: animal behaviour, biotechnology, ecology, education, environmental science, epidemiology, evolution, infectious diseases, microbiology, parasitology, plant science, public health, science education, and virology.
