Job title

Freelance Scientific Copyeditor

I first started reading scientific papers  as a undergraduate at Queens University Belfast (QUB), where I read Archeology, Palaeontology and Geology, then changed to Zoology. I completed an MSC in Molecular Parasitology and Vector Biology at Manchester University and a PhD in Molecular Parasitology at QUB. I was a research fellow of the Multiple Sclerosis Society at QUB and worked in the private sector. Eventually, I realised I enjoyed reading and writing papers and had a particular talent for editing papers by ESL authors. I brushed up on my English grammar, started working freelance as a copy editor and reviewer and have never looked back.
