Critical Appraisal of the Biomedical LiteratureTom Lang Communications and Training International
In this workshop on evaluating the evidence of evidence-based medicine, discussions center on important questions into the justification, design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of clinical research. Topics include sources of error, confounding, and bias and how they can be controlled. The guidelines found on the EQUATOR network are introduced. (This workshop has some overlap with Reporting Randomized Controlled Trials.)
The workshop draws heavily from Chapters 13 through 16 of How to Report Statistics in Medicine. An optional pre-workshop assignment adds 1.5 hour to the workshop.
