Reporting Data and Statistics in Tables and Graphs
Tom Lang Communications and Training InternationalScience often requires data to be presented visually, either for analysis or for communication. This workshop introduces participants to the principles behind effective tables and graphs and to the research that established these principles. In addition to several examples of these principles, the workshop includes a simple and fast process for determining the choice and form of tables or graphs.
This workshop is based on Chapters 20 and 21 of How to Report Statistics and Chapter 4 of How to Write, Publish, and Present. Optional pre-workshop assignments add no or 1.5 hours to the workshop.
