Reporting Randomized Controlled Trials
Tom Lang Communications and Training InternationalRandomized controlled trials (RCTs) provide the best evidence for evaluating interventions. In this workshop, participants learn how RCTs are conducted and how to document them in scientific journals. The workshop emphasizes what to report in each part of the scientific article. Participants become familiar with the CONSORT Guidelines for reporting RCTs and learn specific aspects of the study designs, research activities, and statistical analyses used in these trials. (This workshop has some overlap with Critical Appraisal of the Biomedical Literature.)
The workshop is based on Chapter 13 of How to Report Statistics. An optional pre- workshop adds 1.5 hours to the workshop.
