MICC 2024 panel discussion: Scientific production and sustainability: Less is more?

This year’s Medical Information Centre Conference (MICC 2024) focused on contemporary challenges in the field of biomedical sciences and publishing, such as hyperproduction of papers, selective reporting of results, lack of reproducibility, and questionable quality of systematic reviews. All of the above leads to a waste of research resources and a decrease in public confidence in science, so the aim of the MICC was to analyze these problems, stimulate discussion and explore approaches that could reduce waste and increase the effectiveness of research efforts.

Panellists: Antica Čulina (IRB), Miroslav Rajter (UNIZG), Maja Čikeš (MEFZG), Marko Lucijanić (MEFZG), Iva Grabarić Andonovski (PBFZG/CROASC/EASE), Iva Melinščak Zlodi (FFZG/CROASC)
