The Peruvian Chapter was established in 2016 following a two-day training course in scientific writing, endorsed by EASE,  held in Lima in 2014, within a major international Conference on Breast Cancer.

The Regional chapter is coordinated by Prof. Jhony de la Cruz Vargas, Faculty of Medicine, University Ricardo Palma, Lima (Peru). It is currently out of compliance with EASE Regional Chapter guidelines but it is hoped that activities will resume in due course.

The main objectives of the Peruvian chapter are:

  • To promote the publication on Peruvian journals
  • To develop collaboration among editors in Peru and other Latin American countries,
  • To organize training initiatives and other events in Peru
  • To take part in different activities promoted by the EASE.

The coordinator of the Peruvian Chapter was also part of EASE Gender Policy committee and continues to promote the SAGER Guidelines among Spanish speaking countries.
