DEI Awareness Raising Slide Deck

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are increasingly recognised as critical to ensuring the credibility, accessibility, and social responsibility of scholarly communication. The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) established its DEI Committee to integrate DEI principles into its scholarly communications, editing and publishing and to support its members and wider community in their own DEI journeys.

The EASE DEI Committee’s Awareness Raising Slide Deck, is a practical tool to help journal editors and professionals in scholarly publishing communicate the importance of DEI to their stakeholders and promoting DEI across their networks.

This free resource provides a structured framework for initiating DEI conversations and guiding reflection within editorial teams, publishing organisations and journals. It can be used and adapted by journal editors, editorial board members and staff to communicate the importance of DEI to their stakeholders.
