All journals are reliant on effective editorial processing and it is essential that all journals have efficient systems in place so this workshop is essential to anyone running a journal.

Duncan Nicholas – EASE President / Director DN Journals

Duncan is the Director of DN Journal Publishing Services, and has over 16 years’ experience working in the journal publishing industry. Duncan provides independent editorial consultancy and training courses to publishers, researchers and the wider scholarly community, working with clients around the world, in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and North America.

Duncan writes and delivers training workshops and presentations to editorial staff and researchers of all levels of academic seniority on a wide range of topics, and his consultancy work provides editorial development for all sizes of publishers and learned societies.

Pippa Smart EASE Past President / PSP Consulting

Pippa is the Editor of the ALPSP-Alert and Editor-in-Chief of Learned Publishing. She is a long standing member of EASE, was the editor of the Science Editors Handbook, published by EASE in 2013, and currently compiles the monthly e-newsletter. Through her commercial business, PSP Consulting, Pippa provides editorial and publishing consultancy around the world.
