International Women’s Day

8 March 2026

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on 8 March, commemorating women’s fight for equality and liberation along with the women’s rights movement. International Women’s Day gives focus to issues such as gender equalityreproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. International Mother Language Day

International Mother Language Day is a worldwide observance held annually on 21 February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity. It celebrates the languages that people speak as their first language and honours the importance of preserving them.
