The 2026 EASE Summer Symposium, Influence & Impact, centers on how editorial teams define quality and measure the real-world reception of research. However, “impact” is never a static target – it is deeply tied to where research is born and where it is read. Building on this theme, this joint CSE/EASE panel examines one of the most consequential routes to long-term sustainability: intentional internationalization.
Moving a journal beyond its home region is a significant strategic lever, yet it is often hampered by misunderstood cultural norms, language barriers, and shifting geopolitical landscapes.
