Careers in scientific publishing: webinar for students in conjunction with the 16th EASE Conference

Round table discussion featuring four experienced professionals who will present their career journeys and answer your questions to help you consider a career in the scholarly communication and publishing industry.

The scholarly publishing industry offers a wide range of exciting editorial roles. For those interested in becoming a publisher or scientific editor, it can sometimes be difficult to navigate the best route into a publishing career. Colleagues from EASE and from across the publishing community come from diverse backgrounds and with an array of different skills and experiences. Whether you an undergraduate coming towards the end of your studies, or an academic considering a career change, the EASE Student Webinar on Careers in Scientific Publishing is designed to give advice and practical suggestions to help you take your first step into publishing.

This online meeting is being run as a satellite event to the 16th EASE Conference. It is open and free to all, and aimed at students and early careerists.

Remedios Melero

Managing Editor, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)Spain

Remedios Melero holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia. He completed his doctoral thesis at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Technology of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). She became  editor of the journal  Food Science and Technology International, owned by CSIC and published by Sage, in 1992, what endorses her extensive experience in science publishing.
