URC EASE Participates in Public Discussion on State Support for Ukrainian Scientific Journals

On August 8, the Ukrainian Regional Chapter of EASE took part in a public discussion on the draft Order regarding state support for Ukrainian scientific journals indexed in international scientometric databases, initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Prof. Iryna Izarova led the discussion, reviewing feedback and proposals submitted by our colleagues. Prof. Ganna Kharlamova presented consolidated remarks from the Coordination Center for the Publishing of Scientific Journals Bulletin of TSNUK, with Prof. Maryna Zhenchenko also contributing to the dialogue. Editorial teams from various scientific journals actively shared their perspectives. Mag. Hartman provided an overview of international practices in state support for scientific journals, offering valuable insights for comparison.

The discussion concluded with the consolidation of key comments and consensus on essential provisions of the Order, outlining next steps for its effective implementation.
