Alice began her editing career in 2005, as the English Language Editor at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. In 2017, she set up her own editing and translation business, Altexta. The bulk of her work consists of editing doctoral theses and scientific manuscripts written in English by Finnish-speaking academics and researchers. She is half Finnish, half Irish, grew up in North Wales and has lived in Finland since 1995.
She is a board member of Nordic Editors and Translators (NEaT), and head of NEaT’s Education Committee.
