Anita Nagarajan is an independent English-language editor and communications consultant, specializing in scientific, technical, and educational content. She is also an educator, facilitating training workshops in pedagogy and communication for teachers, researchers, students, and other audiences.
Her experience includes editing content in STEM, management, and education; leading and supporting initiatives in science communication; developing teaching aids and instructional material; facilitating teacher training workshops across the world; and writing and editing content for global non-profits, multinational companies, and organizations in the UN network. She has also managed global partnerships and coordinated public outreach and dissemination efforts.
In the field of scholarly publishing, she has copyedited research papers, grant proposals, dissertations, and other academic content in Computer Science and Information Technology, Engineering, Science, Business and Management, and interdisciplinary fields for authors and experts from various countries.
Her current and past clients include UNESCO MGIEP, the iRISE Program (a collaboration between IISER Pune, DST (Government of India), British Council, Royal Society of Chemistry and Tata Technologies), IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Madras, IISER Pune, the International Union of Biological Sciences, Pearson, Cytel, AsiaEdit, Cactus Communications, American Journal Experts, and researchers and professors from leading universities in India and other countries.
Ms. Nagarajan holds a master’s degree in computer science (with thesis research) from North Carolina State University, USA, and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Government College of Engineering, Pune. In continuing professional development, she has pursued and completed various courses in science writing, content writing, professional editing, effective communication, human-centered design, instructional design, facilitation, and pedagogy.
She has been a member of EASE since 2021 and a member of ACES: The Society for Editing since 2020.
