Erin Landis is a strategic advisor and publishing executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience in scholarly publishing. She is the founder of Landis Editorial Consulting, where she advises scholarly societies and publishing organizations on journal strategy, portfolio development, editorial operations, and publishing partnerships. She has extensive experience guiding organizations through complex challenges related to journal performance, society partnerships, and relationships with commercial publishers.

Previously, Erin served as Vice President of Publications at the American Gastroenterological Association, where she expanded the publishing program from a single title to a diversified portfolio of peer-reviewed journals and digital publications. She later served as Managing Director of Origin Editorial, leading strategy, operations, and business development for a global editorial services organization, and subsequently as Director of Editorial at KnowledgeWorks Global.

Erin is an active leader in the scholarly publishing community. She currently serves as Vice President of the Council of Science Editors (CSE) and is in line to become President in 2027–2028. She is also a past President of the International Society of Managing and Technical Editors (ISMTE).

She brings deep expertise in society governance, editorial operations, and publisher relationships, helping organizations strengthen their publications for long-term success.
