Prof. Eva (Velinova) Gjorgjievska was born in 1981 in Skopje. In 2005, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology Blaže Koneski, at the Department of General and comparative literature. In 2007, she was awarded the title of master’s degree in French literature at the University Paris VII – Denis Diderot (Alliance Sorbonne Paris Cité, France). In 2014 she defended her doctoral dissertation titled “Metamorphoses of identity in the work of Marcel Proust” at the University of Paris XII – Paris Est (France). Since November 2008, she has been working at Goce Delcev University – Stip as a professor in the field of literature, culture and civilization of the Romance peoples, World literature and the French language. She has published articles in domestic and in international journals in the field of literature of the Romance peoples: French, Italian and World literature. She is a reviewer for the Routledge publishing house, as well as for the international journals Frontiers and Advances in literary studies. More important trainings at which she participated: in 2005 at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris (France), in 2009 at Université Toulouse II – Le Mirail in Toulouse (France), in 2023 at Universität Regensburg (Germany) and at ESFAM-L’École de Management de la Francophonie in Sofia. She is a member of the French Society for General and Comparative Literature (Société Française de Littérature Générale et Comparée), based in Paris, France (Sorbonne University). From 2016, she was the managing editor of the International Proceedings of the Faculty of Philology. From 2022, she held the position of vice dean of the Faculty of Philology. She is a MC Member of the CA23137 – Print Culture and Public Spheres in Central Europe 1500–1800 (PCPSce) (2024-2028).
