Juanita Goossens-Roach

Juanita Goossens‑Roach is a Peer Review Manager at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, with responsibility for global peer review operations across more than 110 journals. She brings over 22 years of experience in editorial operations, with a focus on peer review systems, editorial workflows, and continuous improvement at scale.

Her work centres on strengthening the quality, transparency, and efficiency of peer review, while building resilient and inclusive operational models. Juanita has led a range of strategic initiatives across editorial policy, workflow design, and systems optimisation, and is a regular speaker on topics including research integrity, peer review innovation, and leadership in editorial operations.

Juanita served on the ISMTE Board of Directors and is a committed advocate for inclusion as a Disability and Neurodiversity Ambassador. She is particularly passionate about mentoring, developing talent, and creating environments in which individuals and teams can thrive.
