I am Juanita (or Neet) and I have been in journal administration and managing the peer review process for over 19 years, initially as Editorial Assistant and am now the Peer Review Group Manager for Journals Academic at Cambridge University Press and Assessment.

I manage individuals and inter-relations between three units: the Peer Review Administration team – a seven-strong team handling 30 journals,  Online Peer Review Systems Services – those who build the OPRS sites that all our administrators use, and external administrators providing peer review administrative support outside of the PRA team as well as managing relations with in-house Editors or Publishers.

I am also a trained Disability and Neurodiversity Ambassador for Cambridge University Press and Assessment, a special interest as I am physically disabled and neurodiverse, and how to be disability confident at work.

 

I have worked in various physical capacities: purely on-site, mixed hybrid, permanently remote, and will now remain working permanently remotely for my own physical comfort needs. I currently line manage 12 line reports across the globe as well as continuing to mentor two mentees.
