I hold a PhD in Education and the academic title of Senior Researcher. I work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences, Tampere University in Finland, and am part of the Supporting Ukrainian Publishing Resilience and Recovery (SUPRR) initiative.
Since 2017, my research has focused on the theory and practice of Open Science and on evaluating research performance. I have contributed to international and national research projects, including the Horizon Europe project “PALOMERA – Policy Alignment of Open Access Monographs in the European Research Area” (2024), as well as Ukrainian national projects such as “Enhancing the Research Capacity of Ukrainian Universities under War and Post-War Revival in the Context of Open Science Implementation” (2021-2022) and “Strategies for Higher Education in the Context of Internationalization for Sustainable Development of Society” (2020).
Previously, I worked at the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, where I advanced from Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow to Deputy Head of the Scientific and Organisational Department. In this role, I coordinated publishing activities and scientometric initiatives across the Academy’s research institutions, promoted Open Science practices, and supported the development of more than 50 scientific journals founded and co-founded by NAES of Ukraine and its institutions.
My teaching experience includes developing and delivering doctoral-level courses and materials on “Academic Writing”, “Scientometrics in Research Performance Evaluation”, and “Digitalisation of Research” at the Institute of Higher Education of NAES of Ukraine.
Beyond research and teaching, I have been active in various professional and societal initiatives. I have served on the editorial boards of “International Scientific Journal of Universities and Leadership” (2022-2025), “Herald of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine” (2019-2022), and “Education: Modern Discourses” (2018-2022). I have also held the role of Scientific Secretary of the Social Sciences and Humanities Section of the National Committee on State Prizes in Science and Technology (2020-2022), contributed to the NAES of Ukraine Expert Commission of the Competition for the Best Research Books (2020-2022), and was a member of the Scientific and Methodical Commission on Academic Integrity at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2017-2019), among other roles.
In 2023, I joined the European Association of Science Editors, and I am delighted to be part of this professional community. It gives me the opportunity to contribute to the development of scientific publishing in Ukraine and beyond.
