A distinguished medical researcher and a published author, Dr. Gozzelino has 15+ years of professional expertise in the field academic writing and publishing. She has completed her Ph.D. in Cell Biology/Neurobiology from the University of Lerida, Spain, and since 2015 she is a Group Leader and Assistant Professor at NOVA Medical School (NMS), NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal. Her dynamic career includes association with top-notch international medical journals as a peer reviewer and editor, lectureship in a number of national and international Ph.D. and Master Programs, and many other roles such as scientific advisor, Ph.D. mentor, motivational speaker and consultant.
In 2023, she founded Diáspora Mundi, a network of qualified professionals, mainly from the African diaspora, who provide services across different scientific domains to aid the development of their countries of origin.
Dr. Gozzelino has been recognized among the world’s top 2% most cited scientists, according to the prestigious Stanford University global ranking, published by Elsevier, a testament to the impact of her scientific contributions.
