I have provided training on academic writing and presenting to early career researchers in Finland for more than a decade, primarily with the University of Helsinki and the Natural Resources Institute of Finland (Luke). In addition, I am the language and style editor for Suomen antropologi: The Journal of the Finnish Anthropological Society.

Following a career in international public health and development aid, I returned to the academic fold as an instructor and editor in 2014, to design workshops and courses on research skills such as manuscript and grant writing as well as presenting and communicating science for scholars at various stages of their careers. I spend the majority of my time obsessing over matters of language and style in English and mentoring my peers on more efficiently, effectively, and clearly describing their research and its relevance.
