In recent years, much has been written on sustainability, sustainable development, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and their links with publishing industry. In this article, Haseeb Irfanullah (EASE E&S Committee Co-chair) presents five specific developments which may give us an idea how the relationship between sustainability and scholarly publishers is changing over time.
