Poster Exhibition submission deadline extended

We are pleased to extend the deadline for poster abstracts submission until 12 May for the EASE Scientific Poster Exhibition and Competition being held in conjunction with the 17th EASE General Assembly and Conference in Istanbul, Turkey from 1-3 June 2023.

Posters may be submitted in two categories

  • Scientific posters, ie original scientific research, including bibliometric analysis
  • Non-scientific posters eg descriptions of editorial projects, workflows etc

A prize will be awarded to the best poster in each category, plus an additional prize for the best Turkish submission.

Physical posters will be displayed at the venue during the Conference and they will be displayed online from May onwards. There will be an opportunity for short presentations (1-3 mins) of each poster at the Conference, (length of time dependent on entries).

Each abstract will be assessed within 14 days of submission (reduced for late submissions) and you will receive some feedback and an invitation to submit a final poster if approved.

 

Timetable

1 March – Invitation to submit abstracts opens

17 April – Invitation to submit abstracts closes – extended to 12 May

28 April – Closing date for final posters – extended to 19 May

1 May – Final posters exhibited on the Conference webpages

1-3 June – Final posters exhibited at the Conference venue

 

Marks scheme

Please note the judging panel will use the following marks scheme to judge the entries.

  • Organisational and study framework
    20 marks
  • Novel nature of the content: ie does this add to our scientific knowledge
    10 marks
  • Content: quality of the research methodology and the scientific information, sufficient referencing, correct use of tables and graphs
    20 marks
  • Presentation style, clarity of communication, readability and visual appeal
    10 marks

Technical specification

  • The posters will be exhibited physically at the Conference venue. Entries should also be submitted in .pdf format for publication on the EASE website.
  • Posters maybe provided in landscape or portrait orientation and should be less than A1 size.
  • If you wish, you may also provide a <5 minute video presentation in .mp4 format, which will be published alongside your poster.

 

Abstracts should be sent to [email protected] to be assessed. All entrants will receive feedback on their abstract from the assessor to help you improve your final poster.
