ALPSP Course – Creating an Inclusive Culture

Improving diversity and inclusivity can seem daunting as the issues are so varied, affecting both questions of the makeup of our industry’s workforce, as well as how we ensure our publishing outputs are as inclusive as possible. Great strides are being made in all areas, but best practice is still not yet clear and there is more we can all do. This practical course will help delegates understand the relationships between our workforce and what we publish, including how to develop and implement a successful diversity and inclusion strategy, as well as providing advice on handling workplace bias and discrimination whether it applies to staff or our wider ecosystem. Diversity and inclusion have never been higher on the news and social agenda, and this course will help delegates understand how to take practical steps forwards.
