Editage event: Climate Change and Its Impact on Academia

Thursday, 13 February 2025 1pm GMT

The impacts of climate crisis depend on who we are, where we are in, and when we are. Climate change-academia relationship is not only about what we teach and what research we do now, neither it is about the climate scientists alone. This session explores the implications of climate change in academia, irrespective of our disciplines, locations, experience, and academic cultures. It stirs thoughts on how to make education and research ecosystems more adaptive and transformative given our evolving views and values. The session further invites contributions from the audience on how academics can be more active in policy-knowledge-practice space to make our societies more resilient to climate change.
