Artificial intelligence: an aid or an alternative to the doctor?

The Mangiagalli Journal Club will organise an interesting meeting entitled Artificial intelligence: an aid or an alternative to the doctor? which will be held on Saturday 13 January 2024 on the Microsoft Teams platform .

The meeting includes three talks , each lasting approximately 30-40 minutes, held by Isabella Castiglioni, Alberto Tozzi and Luca De Fiore, and a concluding discussion lasting 30 minutes.

The planned topics of discussion are the following:

Artificial intelligence in medicine: what future for patients and health professionals?

Isabella Castiglioni , full professor of Physics applied to cultural and environmental heritage, biology and medicine at the University of Milan Bicocca.

The potential benefits of Chat GPT in clinical practice

Alberto Tozzi , head of the research area on multifactorial diseases and complex diseases of the Preventive Medicine unit of the IRCCS Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome.

Impact of artificial intelligence on medical publishing and communication

Luca De Fiore , director of Pensiero Scientifico Editore and vice-chair of the Italian chapter of the European association of science editors.

The meeting will be moderated by Monica Cremonesi , director of the information, communication and customer care areas of the IRCCS Fondazione Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan.
