EASE Virtual Conference Teaser

It is just two weeks to go before our Virtual Conference. Our theme of ‘editors and editing in times of crisis’, will be timely and we hope to have some thoughtful insights to impart.

We have four sessions: (see the conference pages for full information)

1. The realities of being an editor in a time of crisis, lessons learned and recommendations for the future, with Naomi Lee, Senior Executive Editor (Research) at The Lancet and EASE VP Ines Steffens, Editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Eurosurveillance.

2. A debate which proposes: ‘It is acceptable to reduce quality assurance processes in order to fast-track important research in times of crisis’ proposed by Jos van der Meer, eLife and opposed by Ana Marusic, Journal of Global Health.

3. EASE Forum Live! Eight breakout sessions

4. A panel discussion on Preprints and independent peer review services in crisis times, with Jessica Polka, AsapBio; Janne Seppanen, Peerage of Science; Monica Granados, PREreview and Mario Malicki, METRICS.

This conference is restricted to EASE members who can register for free. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the webinar on the Zoom platform.
