EASE hosted its first ever virtual conference on Friday, 12 June 2020 on the theme

‘editors and editing in times of crisis’

The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupte most of the world, not only endangering lives and livelihoods but also raising issues over scientific reporting and credibility. The role of the editor in the transmission of credible, reliable, and quality-assured science has never been greater.

This conference considered the impact of crisis situations on scholarly and science editors. We asked what have we have learned, and what lessons can we take away to help us in the future?

The plenary sessions were recorded and are available here

Summaries of the EASE Forum Live! sessions will also published. Keep an eye on our regular communication channels for details.
