We are delighted to announce that the EASE Global Forest has now grown to 2,128 trees thanks to our latest planting initiative. To encourage prompt payment of annual membership subscriptions, we plant a tree for all those who make their payment before the 31 December deadline.
This year’s trees will be planted by the ‘Bulindi Chimpanzee and Community Project (BCCP)’ in Western Uganda. This long-term tree planting, conservation and livelihoods project reduces threats to wild chimpanzees in western Uganda by restoring and reconnecting their habitats and addressing the root causes of deforestation: people’s need for sustainable alternative livelihoods and wood for timber and cooking.
