We start the year with some great news. The EASE Global Forest has surpassed 2000 trees!
In December, we offered to plant one tree for every member who renewed their membership before the end of the year. We are very pleased to say that this has resulted in 237 new trees and refreshed EASE members!
All the new trees have been planted in the Bulindi Chimpanzee & Community Project Uganda.
This long-term tree planting, conservation and livelihoods project reduces threats to wild chimpanzees in western Uganda by restoring and reconnecting their habitats and addressing root causes of deforestation: people’s need for sustainable alternative livelihoods and wood for timber and cooking.
This updated map shows where in the world the complete EASE Forest of 2128 trees have been planted since we started the initiative with Plant for the Planet Foundation in 2021.
You can see an interactive map of the projects where our trees are planted, and gift some trees to help us grow our EASE Forest by clicking on the ‘Plant trees’ button in our Global Forest webpage
