About this Chapter

This Chapter was established in January 2022, although the Korean Council of Science Editors have a long history with EASE having been Group members since 2010.

Despite Korea’s GDP being the world’s 10th largest, the quality of its science journals’ does not yet meet international standards. This reality calls for the rapid improvement of domestic academic journals to an international level and the internationalization of our scientific journals so that they have the value of attracting global attention. It is with this intention that the Council seeks ways to improve the editorial competency of domestic academic journals and plans to facilitate the further development of academic journals by conducting various projects for editors.
