Transportation: You can reach Taşkışla Campus by using public transportation vehicles coming to Taksim, Taksim – Hacı Osman metro line, Kabataş – Taksim funicular line. The campus is located at the eastern end of Taksim Gezi Park.

Driving License
International driving licenses are recognized throughout Turkey, and car rental companies require a valid driving license to rent a car.

Banks and Currency Exchange
Turkey’s official currency is the Turkish Lira (TL). Foreign currency exchange services are available at the airport, your hotel’s front desk, or private exchange offices throughout the city, which operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Local banks operate from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Credit Cards
Major credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted in Turkey by restaurants, hotels, and shops.

Climate
In June, Istanbul experiences a warm Mediterranean climate with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 27°C (68°F to 81°F). The city enjoys long days with plenty of sunshine and low chances of precipitation.

Electricity
The electric current in Turkey is 220 volts, and the frequency is 50 Hz. The standard plug type is Type F.

Tipping
While tipping is not mandatory in Turkey, it is customary to add 10% to the bill in restaurants if you are satisfied with the service.

Time Zone
Istanbul is located in the Eastern European Time Zone, which is two hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+2) and observes Daylight Saving Time. Therefore, during Daylight Saving Time, Istanbul is three hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+3).

Local Transport, buses, metro, taxi
Taksim is a central neighborhood in Istanbul and is well-connected by public transportation. For international travelers visiting Taksim, it is recommended to purchase an Istanbulkart, which can be used on all modes of public transportation and provides a convenient and cost-effective way to travel around the city. The Taksim metro station and Taksim Square bus stop are both located in the central area of Taksim and are easily accessible. The Istanbulkart can be used on all modes of public transportation in Taksim, providing convenience and cost-savings for travelers. English signage and announcements are available on most public transportation vehicles and stations, making it easier for international travelers to navigate the system. It is also advisable to plan your route in advance using online maps or transportation apps to avoid any confusion or delays.

We strongly advise all participants (and their accompanying persons) to obtain appropriate travel and health insurance prior to their trip, to ensure they are adequately covered for any unforeseen events that may occur.

Registering at the Event
The registration and information desks will be located at the reception of the congress venue and will be open from 7:30 AM. For participants who haven’t registered beforehand, on-site registration desks will be available to complete the necessary formalities.

Certificate of Attendance
Digital certificates will be made available after the event.

Badges
Badges will be distributed at the registration desks, and it is mandatory for all participants to wear them during the congress activities. Access to the activities will not be granted to those without badges.

Food and Beverage Offerings at the Conference
Complimentary food and beverages will be provided during the conference for all registered participants.

Wi-Fi Access During the Event
Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available for all attendees throughout the duration of the event.
