EASE Webinar: Macro Magic

Tuesday, 16 April 2024, 2pm UK time

What are macros, how and why do editors use them?

Join Jennifer Yankopolus and Paul Beverley for a session that demystified the most useful of hidden tools that you can use to perform mundane and repetitive editing tasks in your Microsoft programmes. They are quick and easy to use once you know the basics.

Jennifer helped attendees understand how to create and use them to increase speed and accuracy and reduce repetitive strain in daily work.

Paul Beverley presented his library of macros for editors, reassuring listeners that programming skills are not needed to use macros, and was able to offer answers on getting to grips with them.

Macros work on both Macs and PCs and are useful for editors of all types of materials: journal articles, book manuscripts, and other Word-based text. Through demonstrations of some of the most useful and popular macros among editors, attendees were given a taste of how macros could be beneficial in their work, and discover resources to get started and develop further.

The recording of this webinar will linked on this page as soon as it’s ready.
