I am a scholarly communication and publishing consultant and the Co-Founder of Heredia & Viggiani, a specialist consultancy firm focusing on research information. I have many years of experience in scholarly publishing and research information (at Elsevier), as well as in research infrastructure, at ORCID, where I was Regional Director for Latin America. As a trained and passionate former researcher, I’m actively committed to and involved in the scholarly publishing global community. I am chairing the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the European Association of Scientific Editors (EASE) and co-chairing the DEIA Committee at Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP). I am also part of the Advisory Board of the Latin American Association of Scientific Editors (ALAEC) and a member of the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors (ABEC). I am passionate about improving trust in scholarly communication and publishing, and about addressing inequities in our community.
