I am a neurologist by training, hold a PhD in neurology/neurosurgery and worked until 2015 as a consultant neurologist at the Norwegian National Hospital. From 2004 to 2014, I served at the board of the Norwegian Neurological Association, from 2010 to 2014 as its President. I have worked part time as an editor from 2009, and since 2015 full time as the Editor in chief at The Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association. Our journal has a staff of 24 full time employees, is indexed in Pubmed, Google Scholar, Crossref, ESCI, and DOAJ. Our website receives slightly more than 10 million visitors per year. In addition, we publish 15 paper issues yearly, circulating 32 000 copies per issue. I hold a part time position as Associate Professor at The Norwegian Academy of Music, where I teach, do research and supervise PhD-candidates. As an author, I have published and edited several books and book chapters.
