Professor YUN has published over 300 SCIE papers to date and has been the recipient of prestigious awards, including the Seoul National University Excellence in Teaching Award (2018), the Distinguished Teaching Award by Kukdam Foundation (2010), and an official commendation from the cabinet minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Korea (2007).
He has been invited as a professor at Seoul National University since 2006, and currently serves as editors of a number of societies including Frontiers in Immunology, as an Ethics editor to Science Editing, and Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing, and as an Editor-in-Chief of Animal Bioscience. He is acting Chair of Committee on Publication Ethics, the Korean Council of Science Editors (KCSE) and Secretary General of the Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE).
He also co-chairs the Regional Chapter Committee, European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and is a member of the International Advisory Board of European Science Editing.
