David is a Senior Editor on the Journal of Ecology one of eight journals published by the British Ecological Society. Since 1913, the Journal of Ecology has been publishing peer-reviewed, original research papers on all aspects of the ecology of plants (including algae), in both aquatic and terrestrial habitats. He is also on the editorial board of Journal of Vegetation Science, and Sustainability, and formerly an editor for Journal of the Torrey Botanical Society.
