Jess is a Senior Editor for The Lancet Primary Care, an open access journal that launched in 2025 as part of The Lancet Group portfolio. With a background in Chemistry, Jess has been working at The Lancet since 2017, as an Assistant Editor, Senior Assistant Editor, and as a Senior Editor for The Lancet Oncology, before joining the inaugural Lancet Primary Care editorial team. Commissioning content; critically appraising research, review, and opinion pieces; handling peer review; making editorial decisions; and coordinating publication processes, Jess works collaboratively within her journal team and with members across The Lancet Group and Elsevier to publish the best science for better lives.
