Magdalena Morawska is a Research Policy and Governance Officer at University College London. She studied in Poland, Italy, and finally in Germany, where she gained a PhD in molecular biology, then moved to the UK to work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cancer Research UK. She subsequently left academia and joined the publishing sector in 2013, first working as an Executive Editor on a portfolio of BioMed Central journals, then as a Research Integrity Adviser for what then became SpringerNature, providing support and advice on all aspects of publication ethics. She joined UCL in 2018, where she develops policies and procedures relating to research integrity matters and creates guidance and training for all staff and students who are involved in research.
