Dr. Marta Colomer obtained her Biology degree and master’s degree in Advanced Microbiology from the University of Barcelona (Spain). She holds a PhD in Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology from the same university, followed by two post-docs at Texas Tech University (USA) and the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Centre (Spain), respectively. She joined MDPI in 2020 where she currently works as co-Managing Editor for the journal Microorganisms and as Journal Relations Specialist, being in close contact with scholars and the scientific community.
