This April Yateendra Joshi, freelance copy editor and trainer, will guide course delegates through the fine details of improving your editing to make your manuscripts more acceptable to journal editors and publishers, and less likely to be desk-rejected. This course is particularly suitable for early-career researchers and manuscript editors but will benefit all those involved in writing and editing scientific documents.

In this round table we will hear a brief history of the SAGER guidelines from its lead author, Dr. Shirin Heidari. Dr. Sowmya Swaminathan from Nature will talk about the challenges journals meet upon their adoption and Dr. Iryna Izarova will outline how EASE helps to disseminate the SAGER guidelines and increase their adoption across the globe by making them more accessible.
Join us for a conversation with Dr Damaris Odeny, Editor of the recently launched African Journal of Crop Improvement, as we examine what community-focused impact looks like in practice. Dr Odeny will share insights into the journal's core objectives, and the tangible outcomes research can achieve on the ground.

Akademik yayıncılıkta hakem eğitiminin genel çerçevesinden hareketle, ELT araştırmalarında hakem gelişimine özgü güçlükler, Türkiye’nin bölgesel eğitim ihtiyaçları ve Peer Review Lab’in bu ihtiyaçlara yapılandırılmış rehberler, uygulamaya dayalı öğrenme ve mentörlü geri bildirim aracılığıyla nasıl yanıt verdiği ele alınacaktır. As the SAGER guidelines celebrate their 10th anniversary this may, this Regional Chapter satellite session from Korean Council of Science Editors/EASE Korea, will look at how Korean researchers, editors, publishers, graduate students, and those involved in research and scholarly publishing can embed the principles of the SAGER guidelines in their work.
EASE Ukraine is organising a satellite session of the EASE Summer Symposium 2026 dedicated to sharing the activities of the Ukrainian Regional Chapter of the European Association of Science Editors with the wider community.
The 2026 Summer Symposium will be on the theme Influence & Impact – innovations in how editorial teams set standards, demonstrate quality, and measure the reception of published research.
