EASE Webinar – COVID-19 shocks on the research enterprise and culture

Gemma Derrick presented this webinar in which she considered the impacts of the pandemic on the research system – policy-makers, funders, universities, and researchers themselves. The shocks of these impacts are not temporary and we are still living through the effects, with the aftermath likely to last for some time to come. Although the pandemic has accelerated research and highlighted the benefits stemming from publicly-funded basic research, it has also revealed structural issues within research culture globally.

Participants joined in a Q&A discussion at the end of the presentation.
