Hasan is the Chair of the EASE Turkish Regional Chapter and serves as an Associate Editor for European Science Editing and the Forensic Psychiatry section of Frontiers in Psychiatry. He is an active researcher in forensic psychiatry, a member of the editorial board of the Asian Journal of Psychiatry, and a participant in the Editorial Board Development Programme of The Lancet Psychiatry.
