Session 8 – Post-acceptance manuscript editing

Session 8.5

Sunday, 26 June 11.15am-12.30pm (Valencia time)

Maintaining scientific integrity: corrections and best practices at The Lancet Group

A transparent and efficient corrections process is essential to assist in maintaining public confidence in scientific and medical publications. Sharing best practices around errors and corrections is key to improving the time-intensive and labour-intensive nature of resolving these issues. As members of The Lancet’s post-acceptance technical editing team, we will discuss The Lancet group’s policies, workflow, and style when handling and processing corrections, through to republication.

This presentation is relevant to authors, journal editors, manuscript editors, copyeditors, technical editors, production and operations
